Our History

Hugh Taylor commenced his Real Estate & Insurance Agency operation in 1926. The business grew steadily over the next fifty years.

In the early 1960's, two young lads were attending Abbotsfield School in Middlesex, England. Little did they know that in thirty years time they would be partners in building one of the most respected Insurance Brokerages in Sydney, Australia.

Dennis Watkins sowed the initial seed in 1986 when his company purchased the insurance portfolio of A H Taylor Pty Ltd after having managed the business for five years.

In 1994 he was joined by his old school friend, Terry Stone, and together with their associates and staff, they built a business which sets the highest possible standards in service and professionalism.

Is any business the same? Probably not, there will be close similarities but each business owner will have their own level of expectation and requirements when establishing an effective Insurance programme. As part of our initial contact, it is our role at WTS to evaluate your exposure to risk and recommend suitable alternatives for consideration. Naturally enough, this is an ongoing exercise and forms part of the client annual review process.

When it comes to quality and service, talk is cheap but how can you be sure that it will meet your expectations? Over the years we have worked extremely hard at our service standards and have established certain values, which seem to work and the level of satisfaction from our existing customers is our only barometer. We very rarely lose a client!
